    Steera is a South African slang term pronounced "Stee-ra" and it means sending someone, normally of a younger age, on an errand.

  • What is a supplier?

    Any Steera accredited service provider that executes or performs an errand as set out by a consumer under terms and conditions set out by Steera.

  • What is a food outlet?

    Any outlet whether formal or informal that supply edibles or food as their main business.

  • Where does Steera deliver?

    Please take a look at our coverage map to get an idea of where Steera is available. Feel free to mail us on coverage@steera.app if you think we should come to your town next.

  • What are your operating hours?

    Steera is a 24hrs service, but available services may differ depedning on the time.

  • What are the payments options and how does cash on delivery work?

    Please note on valid Visa and MasterCards will be accepted for the time being and payment happens when you make a booking. Refunds will be given when and where deemed necessary.

  • How do I secure my credit card information?

    Please note that Steera does not store any card information.Paygate, who is our independent secure payment gateway, stores and processes all card payment information

  • How do I tip my driver? Am I expected to tip the driver ?

    Coming soon...Tipping is completely at the discretion of the consumer.

  • Can you deliver sensitive and fragile items?

    All services are used at your own risk, please not Steera will not be liable to any damage or loss.

  • Can I request the same driver I had before to do my errands?

    Coming soon...Consumers will have an option to set a favourite supplier depending on the service and location.

For moving

  • Can I really book a same-day move?

    Absolutely! We specialise in accommodating same-day moves to help you meet your tight deadlines. Just give us a call, and we’ll handle the rest.

  • What happens if there’s a change in my moving plan?

For consumers

  • What do you mean when you say I can eat anywhere?

    With Steera you are free to order from any food outlet on the app no matter the distance as long as our suppliers can drive to them and you. Should you not find your food outlet on the app kindly email us their information and we will add them.

  • Can I submit a food outlet I’d like you to add to the app?

    Anyone can submit a food outlet to the app by simply emailing food@steera.app with the name, address and contact details of the food outlet and based on the validity of the information provided you can have them available on the app in 24hrs.

  • Can I use Steera as my personal courier service?

    All consumers have the option of getting our suppliers to take care of any deliveries personal or business related.

  • Can I use Steera for my business?

    We urge small businesses to trust Steera with the delivery of items sold on their online store.

For suppliers

  • What do I need to register?

    • Original RSA Id Document / Passport
    • For drivers, valid drivers license and license disk
    • Smart phone - Android / iOS
    • Logistics drivers, more information will be provided as requested

  • How long does it take to register?

    Runners can register and start working immediately,on the other hand drivers registration takes 2 -3 working days.

  • When do we get paid out?

    Every Tuesday Steera will make a batch payment to all suppliers of all transactions accepted before Sunday midnight.

  • Can I register even with a criminal record?

    Suppliers with criminal records are encouraged to register as runners and will be completing NON-customer facing errands.

For restaurants

  • How much is your sign up fee?

    Sign up is completely FREE.

  • What commission do you charge?

    Steera no commission at all from the restaurants.

  • Can I manage my information on your app?

    Once a food outlet has been validated to be the owner of the outlet, outlets are more than welcome to register for FREE on our portal and manage their own information.

For businesses

  • How do I sign up for my business?

    Coming soon...You will be able to run multiple errands at a go and view them on a dashboard.

  • Can I have the same person doing my errands?

    Coming soon...As a business subscriber, you will have the option of assigning suppliers to serve your business exclusively or you can use any of our trusted suppliers.

  • What are the minimum items I can courier out?

    What you courier is totally at your discretion. That being said, all items couriered need to be legal and all deliveries must adhere to Steera terms of use.

  • How can I track that the item was delivered to my clients?

    Coming soon...As a business subscriber, you will have a dashboard that includes a map to help you keep track of all your errands.
